So, we went to downtown Hollywood to watch our friend Eric's band, A Faulty Chomosome, play at a little bar off the strip. We had a table, but I sat up at the bar to get a better view of the show. There was this guy sitting next to me most of the show who obviously knew Mike from the band. He got up and left before the show ended and I didn't think much of it. When I was helping Eric load some of the heavier stuff into their vehicle after the show he informed me that the guy sitting nexy to me was actually John DiMaggio, but he didn't want to say anything during the set, because apparently John doesn't like to be pointed out. I can respect that. He just wants to have a good time without being bothered. For those of you who don't know, John DiMaggio is the voice of good ol' Bender from Futurama among a plethora of others. Now, I happen to be a huge Futurama fan and I was floored that I had been hanging out with the voice of Bender and had no idea. You just never know around here.
