Parallel Parking Signal

Tuesday, December 28, 2004

I think that auto manufacturers should equip cars with a parallel parking signal (thus the title). Something to say, "Hey, person behind me. I'm going to be stopping and then backing into that space." If you use your turn signal, it just means your going to be turning. In that case, people will get right up on your tailpipe and not give you the room to back in, especially in bumper to bumper traffic. I don't know how many times I've tried to park on the street and had somebody get right up behind me, making it impossible for me to do anything but keep going forward. Man, I hate that! Anyway, I don't think it's such a bad idea...
